Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit

Cardiac rehabilitation is all of the applications working with a multidisciplinary approach aimed to reach the optimal physical, psychological  and functional capacity, not only people with heart and vascular disease , but also healthy and individuals with risk factors. In the unit, physical therapy and rehabilitation applications are done for individuals with cardiopulmonary risk factors (advanced age, obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking, sedantary lifestyle, menopause), individuals with cardiac disease which limits exercise capacity (myocardial infarction, heart surgery (by-pass, angiogram), stable angina, pulmonary arterial hypertension, heart transplantation, heart failure, heart valve disease etc.), individuals diagnosed with systemic disease which limits exercise capacity, patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease, healthy and geriatric individuals with decreased exercise capacity.
